Today, you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Begin your journey in Old Delhi, once the capital of Mughal dynasty between the 16th and 19th century. Visit Jama Masjid, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1650 AD and completed in 1656 AD. Later walk through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk bazaar, which was also built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. For an authentic experience, consider opting for a cycle rickshaw ride through these bustling streets. You will also drive past the Mughal Empire’s most opulent fort in India – the Red Fort.
In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Drive past Sansad Bhawan (the Parliament House) and Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President’s House) the one-time Imperial Residence of the British Viceroys governing India. Then head to India Gate for a photo stop. It’s a memorial built in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during all the wars until now starting from World War I. Later, drive along the Rajpath past the secretarial buildings and government offices. Afterwards, you will visit Qutab Minar, the 12th century Tower of Victory built by a Slave King – Qutb-ud-din Aibak. It is a prototype of all Minars (towers) in India.

Today, you will visit the Taj Mahal by sunrise. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a tribute to his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, it took 22 years and 20,000 workers to construct. The gleaming white marble was sourced 200 miles away and hauled to the site by a convoy of 1000 elephants. While it looks flawless from every angle, it’s the intricate marble inlays up close that truly take your breath away. You’ll have plenty of time to admire the beauty of this iconic landmark.
Later, you will explore the majestic Agra Fort, a historic stronghold that served as the nerve centre for the Mughal Empire over generations. Originally built by Akbar, the fort’s imposing walls, gates, and initial buildings were situated along the eastern banks of the Yamuna River. Shah Jahan adorned it with grand palaces and a mosque, while Aurangzeb strengthened its outer defenses. Don’t miss the chance to wander through the Hall of Public Audience and Royal Pavilions.

This morning, we will drive you to Ranthambore, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri (38 km from Agra) for sightseeing of the abandoned capital of the Mughals. This red sandstone city was built by the illustrious Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century as his capital. Shortly after its completion, the city was abandoned because the local wells had dried up, causing it to remain untouched for over 300 years, preserving much of its original magnificence.

Today, you will experience an early morning and evening safari in Ranthambore National Park.
Originally the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park transitioned from a game sanctuary in 1955 to a national park in 1980. It was integrated into Project Tiger in 1972. Covering a vast area of 1,334 km², only a core area of 392 km² is inaccessible to the public. Nestled between the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, the park’s leafy forests were once part of the expansive jungles of Central India. Its terrain features rugged landscapes, rocky ridges, hills, and open valleys adorned with lakes and pools.

In the morning, you will explore the majestic Amber Fort, which was constructed by Maharaja Man Singh, the esteemed General under Mughal Emperor Akbar, during the 17th century. Before the establishment of the City Palace in Jaipur, Amer reigned as the epicentre of authority. Surrounded by fortified battlements and commanding views of the Moat Lake, the fort sprawls over the Aravalli hills, with remains scattered across the landscape.
While returning to the city from Amber Fort, we will have a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds). The pink sandstone carvings of the structure are exceptionally detailed. A gentle breeze flows through its windows and latticed screens, offering a glimpse into the streets of the city, once observed by the queens of the court.
In the afternoon, wander through the City Palace Museum, an impressive complex featuring palaces, gardens, and art collections including manuscripts, weaponry, costumes, carpets, and paintings.
