Pokhara - Nepal
Discover Pokhara
Beautiful Pokhara is a tranquil lakeside town providing a little oasis of calm around 123 miles from the capital. Walk along the glassy waters of Phewa Tal Lake with its colourful paddleboats and admire the breath-taking views of the Annapurna mountain range including the lofty Machapuchare (translated as ‘Fish Tail’).
You can experience these magical vistas from a lakeside cafe or an evening boat cruise, but if you’re feeling energetic, then a climb to the Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda) overlooking the town for a truly magical view. To catch the sunrise, hire a taxi or scooter to the Sarangkot viewpoint.
If you’re looking for adventure, then you can try your hand at white water rafting, canoeing or paragliding, or unwind with a yoga session. Please just make sure you are covered by your insurance before participating.
