Uparkot Fort
This ancient fort is believed to have been built in 319 BC by the Mauryan emperor Chandragupta, though it has been extended many times.
Ashoka Rock Edicts
The Edicts of Ashoka are a collection of more than thirty inscriptions on the pillars, boulders and cave walls, attributed to Emperor Ashoka of the Mauryan Empire who reigned from 268 BCE to 232 BCE.
Mahabat Maqbara and Bahauddin Maqbra
These mausoleums were completed in 1892 and 1896 respectively and are dedicated to Mahabat Khan II, the Nawab of Junagadh State, and his minister Bahauddin Hussain Bhar.
Darbar Hall Museum
Built in a beautiful old palace of Junagarh, the Darbar Hall Museum is amongst the finest museums in Gujarat as it preserves the treasures of the Junagarh rulers. The museum houses around 2900 artefacts in its picture gallery, palanquin room, textile and costumes gallery and weapons gallery. The artefacts like weapons, armour, palanquins, sparkling chandeliers, howdahs, diamond woven carpets, photos, gowns, silver items, jewellery and paintings that depict the lifestyles of the Nawabs are the major highlights of the museum.
