Stone Hedge Hotel, Nubra, Jammu and Kashmir
Discover the Stone Hedge Hotel
Offering panoramic views of the Karakorum, Ladakh and Saltro ranges of the Himalayas, the beautiful Stone Hedge Hotel is the perfect hideaway for exploring Nubra. Inspired by the famous architect Laurie Baker, Stone Hedge has been constructed using local materials suited to the climate and ambience of the region. The accommodation uses local stones, mud, reusable materials, solar energy, wood, and minimal plastic to reduce its carbon footprint and produces its own (or locally sourced) butter, cheese, milk, herbs, organic vegetables, and local wheat for authentic Ladakhi cuisines and signature dishes.
The hotel restaurant offers an amazing 360 panorama over the Nubra valley, and also serves home-baked bread, apricot juice, filter coffee and freshly plucked peppermint tea. With just 16 rooms available, this boutique accommodation is ideal for getting away from it all.
