- Visit Paro’s main attraction, the magnificent Rinpung Dzong Buddhist monastery, reached by a covered cantilever bridge to see its famous enormous embroidered tapestry.
- Time your visit for the annual tshechu (festival) which attracts thousands of locals dressed in colourful traditional dress.
- The National Museum is a magnificently renovated watchtower behind the monastery and well worth a visit.
