Dhole's Den, Bandipur, Karnataka
Discover the Dhole’s Den
Located near the small villages bordering Bandipur National Park is Dhole’s Den, a boutique homestay. From this gorgeous accommodation you can hear the Park’s wild animals, from sloth bears and their cubs at night to the roar of tigers, and the lodges have been named after Bandipur’s amazing wildlife.
This eco-friendly safari lodge and homestay grows organic fruit and vegetables, uses wind and solar energy, and has a biodiversity garden, a bio-digester and LED lights. The spacious rooms and villas use ample natural light and ventilation to help reduce energy consumption. You won’t find air conditioning, a swimming pool or television here, just the opportunity for a simplistic stay and to be at one with nature. There are plenty of activities for guests including a campfire, nature walks, native games, a visit to the organic farm and tribal village, tea drives, and jungle safaris.
The resort is named after the Dhole, an Asiatic wild dog (Cuon Alpinus) that hunts in the Indian jungle, and its owners are ardent canine lovers who share the property with their domestic dogs.
