With archipelagic atolls located either side of the equator the Maldives has a wonderful tropical climate with temperatures between 25°c and 31°c throughout the year. However, with variations in rainfall, humidity and sunshine hours, it’s good to know the best time to visit the Maldives.
in our opinion, the best time to visit the Maldives is April, which is coming out of peak season. You’ll still have warm weather and good water visibility, although there is rainfall at the end of the month. The driest months are in peak season from January to April, with low humidity and less rain. May to December has a risk of storms but there are long spells of bright sunshine in between.

October to November weather in the Maldives
October and November are popular in the Maldives, with warm temperatures and lots of sunshine, although there’s a high chance of rain and thunderstorms. It’s the perfect time for diving and snorkelling when whale sharks and manta rays feed on the plankton in the water. As it’s low season it’s quieter and you’ll get great deals.
