Opened in 1904 and declared a National Park 68 years later, the park hosts two thirds of the world’s endangered Indian one-horned rhinoceros population, as well as having the highest density of tigers in the world. Other mammals you can spot are elephants, wild water buffalo and Swamp Deer. Kaziranga is also home to various species of migrating and inhabitant birds, along with a plethora of vegetation in the form of forest, grasses and flora.
