Nagarkot is one of the most photographic places in Bhutan, where you can see the splendour of the Himalayas from the comfort of your hotel balcony. The village lies just 20 miles from Kathmandu and the mountain ridge is lined with hotels offering amazing views of the Himalayas. You can see eight mountains; Annapurna, Everest, Ganesh Himal, Jugal, Langtang, Manaslu, Rolwaling and Numbur.

However, getting your timing is right is absolutely crucial, as the mountains are infamous for disappearing behind the clouds. The best times to visit are October to December and March to April when clear skies are most likely. After mid October, you will need warm clothing.
