Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your Authentic India Tours representatives who will transfer you to your hotel for a 1 night stay.

Today you’ll be taken to Delhi Airport to board your flight to Bhopal.

You’ll be met on arrival at Bhopal Airport by your driver and taken to your lodge hotel bordering Satpura National Park.

The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the eco friendly swimming pool and the amazing setting of the hotel overlooking the Denwa River.

If you love nature today is a special treat with 2 safari drives into Satpura National Park. Your jeep safari will take you through the rugged terrain which consists of fascinating deep valleys, sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, rivulets, waterfalls and thick dense green forest. The National Park is home to a wild variety of wildlife and offers good animal spotting opportunities due to the unique terrain and many water bodies. Your game drives are early in the morning and then again in the early evening when temperatures are at their coolest and the animals are most active.

You also have the opportunity to take a walking safari with a naturalist, the only national park where you can do so.

The 6 hour drive today takes you to Pench National Park, named after the River Pench which flows through the park. This afternoon you can enjoy a jeep safari through the park and admire its natural beauty just as Rudyard Kipling did when he referenced it in the Jungle Book.

Today, early morning and afternoon jeep safaris have been organised. Pench National Park is home to a wide variety of animals and was established as a tiger reserve in 1992. It is now working under Project Tiger and although the population is stable and daily sightings occur in the large park, the tigers can still be elusive

The Pench Tree Lodge supports local village life so if you fancy learning more about rural Indian life and local culture you can also take part in a guided tour. Alternatively enjoy a leisurely walk or bicycle ride by yourself to the local villages and maybe come across a weekly haat (bazaar), where you can stock up on indigenous crafts and products of the area. Other activities organised by the hotel include organic garden tours and night trails.

This morning you’ll be taken the 4 hour drive to Kanha National Park, another park famous for the Royal Bengal Tigers and was one of the first parks to become part of Project Tiger.

Spread over an impressive 940 sq km of lush green meadows and thick sal forests, the Park is known for its stringent conservation programmes and is considered to be one of the best managed National Parks in Asia.

You have an opportunity to spot tigers today on one of the two jeep safaris which have been organised. The 4 wheel open jeep safaris are a great way to observe wildlife in the thick & lush green forest of Kanha National Park. The safaris follow fixed timings during early morning and afternoon and typically take 6 passengers including a naturalist and driver.

The large grassy areas of the Kanha National Park provides perfect grazing for deers and antelopes, which are prey for the tigers.

Again today there is another opportunity to spot tigers on one of the two jeep safaris which have been organised.

In between your safaris there are a host of other activities to enjoy including visits to vibrant tribal markets which can be organised on foot, by cycle or with use of the lodges jeep. You can also take part in nature treks, bird watching and cycling expeditions and, with a bit of advance notice, therapeutic craft workshops with local potters and painters can be arranged.

After breakfast the drive to Bandhavgarh National Park takes about 6 hours. Later this afternoon you can explore the park on an open jeep safari.

If you’re looking for one of the best places to spot tigers, Bandhavgarh National Park is it. The tiger density here is the highest known in India and if you are a natural in the heat, the dry months of March through to June are particularly good.

Today is another opportunity to explore the 448 sq kms of the National Park with an early morning and late afternoon jeep safari. It is predominantly covered with vegetation like Sal, Sali, Dhobin and has vast stretches of grasslands spread over 32 hills.

The lush vegetation facilitates the survival of a large range of animals and birds with more than 22 species of mammals, 250 species of birds and 70 species of butterflies making the Park their home.

You can enjoy your last 2 jeep safaris today with a morning safari normally from 6 am to 10 am and an evening safari from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Today it’s time to say good bye to the beautiful  Indian wilderness.
