This family holiday to the Golden Triangle is packed with all the essential elements of a great Indian holiday and is an ideal tour for first time visitors. Delhi, Agra and Jaipur fondly known as ‘The Golden Triangle’, are the must see sights on any tour to North India. Delhi, the capital of India, will captivate you with its rich history, majestic world heritage sites, Raj era edifices and bustling markets. Agra, a former capital of the Mughal Empire, is home to the Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Jaipur’s towering Amer Fort, splendid monuments including the grand City Palace and colourful bazaars are the epitome of Rajasthani culture and architecture.
This is a wonderful introduction to India, but if this tour leaves you craving for more, we have plenty of suggestions. A few recommendations include Ranthambore, a popular park to see tigers, Shimla the erstwhile summer capital of the British Raj, Amritsar for its magnificent Golden Temple and of course, the sandy beaches of Goa.
